Real Wood Studios is an FSC Accredited supplier of Scottish Hardwood. We buy our logs from other FSC accredited suppliers. We have a chain of custody for each log that passes through our yard which assures that our timber is sustainably managed.


We usually have kiln dried Ash, Oak, Elm, Beech, Birch, Sycamore and Yew in stock. Please contact Keith for an up-to-date stock list.


We can supply timber for all projects - Green Oak beams for a new build construction, Hardwood Flooring for a renovation, Kiln Dried Sawn Boards for furniture making or an interesting piece for turning. We always have a selection of fireplace mantels in stock to create the perfect centre piece. Trade and hobby makers are welcome and we will gladly give free advice on choosing and selecting the correct grade of timber for your project.

Keith Threadgall is Real Wood Studios Timber Operations Manager with over ten years experience cutting and drying native scottish hardwoods.


He is one of the most knowledgeable and skilled timber processors in Scotland and has clocked nearly 6000 hours on our Woodmizer.
